Support information and a company logo individualizes a PC from the rest of the crowd ensuring that should your customer need your advice your opening hours and support numbers are always just a click away.

Adding that information, unfortunately, isn't as easy as it used to be, especially as now the whole process is undertaken through the Windows registry. However, don't despair the instructions below should guide you through the rather delicate process.

  1. First and foremost you need to create your company logo. This you can do in most photo editing or design software, such as Photoshop, Paint, Paintshop Pro, etc. The important thing to remember is that the logo size should not exceed 120 x 120 pixels.
  2. Once your logo has been created save it as OEMLOGO.bmp and then you are ready to go to work on the Windows registry. At this point it is always wise to back up the registry prior to making any changes. See: 16 Back Up The Windows Registry
