About Me
My involvement in providing help and support to users of the
Microsoft Windows Operating system started
just over 10 years ago, when I began contributing to the Microsoft
Windows forums. Over the years my involvement in these forums has
increased and in October of 2002 Microsoft awarded me for my
contributions with an MVP (Most Valued Professional) award.
The very first web site created by me was XP Help and Support
back in 2003. This is still a very popular source of help and
support for the XP operating system even today.
In 2006, just prior to the launch of Windows Vista, I launched my
second web site, Vista Support. This followed on from my XP site
and provided help and support for the Windows Vista operating
system.
In 2008 came the launch of my third web site, Silver Surfer
Guide. This site is dedicated to anyone who is just starting out
in computing and guides them through the basics of buying a PC,
handling the mouse, etc., in easy to follow lessons.
After a gap of just a few short years we now have a new operating system, Windows 7.
And in the same tradition I am
hoping to offer my visitors help and support with this operating
system too.
During my many years of providing help and support to computer
users I have also been fortunate to have made contributions to
some of the UK's leading computer magazines; these included PC Advisor, PC Plus, PC Pro
and Windows Vista - The Official Magazine. In 2005 I also had the
pleasure of co-authoring,
along with Curt Simmons, Alan Simpson and David Dalen, a book
entitles Windows XP MVP.
